Even that has loopholes, and they won't enforce it anyway.

It’s enough to overflow your local high school in a day -
Enough to replace the entire population of Eagle Pass in a week -
Enough to over fill any SEC stadium in a month -
And enough to sway an election in a year.

Think tanks projecting how many poor people we need to import to keep wages down and the economy running.

They do the work of government, along with NGOs.

OK. Under the new proposed legislation (which is not part of current law), if 5,000 in a single day appear at border crossings or in encounters at locations other than border crossings, that triggers a complete shutdown of the border.

Such a shut down trigger does not currently exist in US law. Most days we see significantly more than 5,000 people.

In the bipartisan legislation, they considered a 5,000 trigger to be necessary to signal a crisis that would justify the complete shutdown of the US border.

But now republicans don't want any shutdown. There is no shutdown trigger in US law now.

Because "they" need these illegals to accomplish a goal. Otherwise, they wouldn't have a billion dollar network setup all the way through south america to get them here. There is an end game and it's not good.

The Repblican from Oklahoma said that the 5000 is a big misunderstanding

he says 5000 processed each day, which he says "doesn't mean they get to walk into America, many will be turned away"

No one believe this

because all these people are not coming through ports of entry...

many aren't getting caught...

it's a freaking disaster

you tell the world, turn the frick around

you're not getting in

we will start shooting people if necessary

Turn the frick around!

It's a little over the "high water" mark from 1990 to 2021. Cliton had the record at 1.4 million encounters. GW Bush started the work on getting the numbers down. Obama surprisingly continued it, of course it's not racist when he did it.

Pulled from their war torn rectums. They aren't going to enforce the border if 50,000 a day are encountered.
