We perfected colonialism for sure.
I hate when people act like we are a gift to the world and the rest of the world owes us. We contributed a huge percentage of technology but we did it to help ourselves, not out of some sort of altruism. And it was individuals, not a collective.

For better or worse, the invention of gunpowder DID advance civilization.
