And there's nothing connecting this Disney movie to Anne Bonny besides speculation when fans found out the character name was Anne.

The movie hasnt even started casting yet, Anne may be a placeholder name. If they were casting her to play Anne Bonny, they'd probably include the last name

I think they should cast a redhead and name the character Redd, like the character at Disneyland. It would be a mirror of what they did with Jack sparrow
