FFS they weren’t tapping his calls, they were tapping the calls of people he was talking to. You do not have a right privacy when talking to someone else that is under investigation whether you know it or not. As long as the warrants on that guy were legal, which it appears they were. Lesson be careful who you talk to and what you say.

Whether the investigation was worthwhile or frivolous is irrelevant or at least a separate discussion.

no it isn't. its why wade likely assumed his conversations were private. why would the feds care about basketball recruiting when there are real issues for them to deal with? SDNY should be dealing with terrorism not recruiting.

it was perfectly reasonable for wade to assume his conversations were private. NCAA doesn't have the authority to listen in.
