If Texas can slow down illegals crossing Biden could if he actually wanted to do so.

It would help to go back to Trump policies of enforcing the law and also not allowing people passing through countries while not claiming amnesty in them to then get to our border and claim amnesty.

Pushing to remove the ones already here and build wall would also help.

I wondering what is going to come about with the new law in Texas and fed lawsuit. They have to 1st get past how they are making it a different type of state crime from what was decided went against fed law in the Arizona case as even in dissent Alito agreed with majority on that.

Some liberal states have gone against fed domain since Arizona by helping them avoid the feds. Arizona’s also had a provision making something else illegal that didn’t go against any federal law but was ruled to go against fed preeminence to decide - Congress not doing anything was in itself a decision which certain Presidents haven’t always followed since Arizona.

The law starts a conversation which I am told overrides anything wrong done…

If states can’t do anything then feds should be forced to do their job in law and in the constitution with invasions.
quote:

Republican Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas on Monday signed one of the harshest state immigration laws in modern U.S. history, authorizing state officials to arrest and seek the deportation of migrants suspected of crossing the border with Mexico illegally.

The law, known as SB4, gives Texas law enforcement authorities the power to stop, arrest and jail migrants on new, state-level illegal entry charges…

quote:

The offense is punishable by up to six months in jail, though a judge could order a defendant to return to Mexico in lieu of continuing with the case, as long as the defendant consents.

quote:

… Those who don't leave could face serious felony charges if arrested again. Those ordered to leave would be sent to ports of entry along the border with Mexico, even if they are not Mexican citizens. The law can be enforced anywhere in Texas, but some places are off-limits, including schools and churches.

… Republican lawmakers have rejected charges that SB 4 clashes with federal immigration law, arguing it deliberately “tracks the language of existing statutes” while exempting people who’ve been granted asylum and other forms of legal status.

In Arizona:

LINK

A residence three down from me got hit last week. When I got back from my morning walk there were eight vehicles from the Scottsdale Police Dept. at the home and a drone in the air. I heard one of the burglars was caught in a car stolen from the residence and the other got away.
