Ahh yes. I must have missed the sacred right to a personal automobile in the US Constitution.

and you wouldn't ride it if we did.

If it is more accessible and gets me to my destinations faster I most certainly would. Driving is a very inefficient use of one's time.

They need to tear down the Arc de Triomphe and put a big arse Buc-ees in its place. But they won't because they don't know true freedom

I think what you are probably intentionally ignoring is that it's not about the vehicle, it's about the government 1) wanting to dictate more and more aspects of our lives, 2) expand their control over the populace, and 3) take more and more of what the public has.

Did you notice how they never incentivize behaviors by REDUCING a tax or fee (and govt subsidies don't count here)? Funny how that works.

Beats the hell out of passively sitting on a bench next to some frick pissing his pants.

You'll take your car too. So much freedom, so few unemployed people.

I am all for urban improvement, especially in those cities that are most densely populated, although I do believe some American cities lend themselves better to that than others

However, travel infrastructure in the US and Europe are not comparable, and I think most Europeans will tell you that

"Unenumerated rights are legal rights inferred from other rights that are implied by existing laws, such as in written constitutions, but are not themselves expressly coded or "enumerated" within the explicit writ of the law"
