I live in Boston and go to Portland and Vermont a decent amount. There are honestly so many options it can be overwhelming, so my first advice is to select the “must visits” and figure out any others from there.
Boston spots include:
Trillium (go to the Seaport location)
Harpoon (walkable from trillium - get the pretzel)
Lamplighter (Cambridge)
Aeronaut (Somerville)
Night Shift (Everett or by the North End)
Lord Hobo (Southie)
Dorchester Brewing (Dorchester)
DO NOT waste your time with Sam Adams
Boston beer bars: Bukowskis and Five Horses
For treehouse - be strategic about which one you go to. There’s on on the Cape, one in Western Mass (the flagship), one in Deerfield, and one in the Boston suburb of Tewksbury. Select one that you can make a detour and hit during your drives.
Portland:
Bissell Brothers
Rising Tide
Maine Beer Company (Freeport)
Austin Street
Allagash
Battery Steele
Lone Pine
Oxbow
Blythe & Burrows (for a cocktail to mix things up if you want)
Vermont (Burlington):
Foam
Burlington Beer Co
Zero Gravity
Vermont (Stowe):
Alchemist
Idletyme
Von Trapp
Stowe Cider (seriously don’t sleep on it because it’s a cidery)
Hill Farmstead (very out of the way but worth the drive if you can make it)
Lawsons Finest (also a little outside Stowe but closer than Hill Farmstead)

Thanks for the recs, I figured you would have some good advice. I’ve been to the one in Tewksbury so may try another one but will have to figure out which one works best. All those Boston ones look good, didn’t figure Sam Adams would be worth it.

There was an article in Zymurgy this month on Stowe. Basically a road trip that visited Von Trappe, Idle Tyme, the Alchemist
And i've never been, but in addition to Abitafan's list, i've been wanting to visit Notch brewing in Boston and Foam Brewers in Burlington.
