I was surprised to find out that dairy farmers very much rely on migrant workers. Some in Pennsylvania have had to shut down due to lack of workers.
We definitely need to improve our legal immigration system. If done right, the border situation would improve. Some politicians want to perpetuate the status quo, unfortunately.

Large swaths of our agricultural and construction industries are predicated on what amounts to foreign indentured servants working for below market wages.
This has been going on in ag for generations. They were busing in Mexicans to work the fields seasonally coast to coast post WW2.

An addiction to cheap labor. Mass immigration is used to put downward pressure on wages and keep them low.
People are too lazy to cut their own grass and cook their own food.
