My sales guy was super helpful. He moved the mouse around on the computers antique inventory software to show me the list of upcoming inventory. He then said we have what you want in stock except it’s silver. He then pointed over his shoulder to show me the car, sure as hell, it was silver. His wonderful finance manager then told me service will eff me on service cost unless I buy a maintenance package. It felt really good knowing someone was watching out for me.

Also, why do all finance managers have sterile offices with homemade crafts from their “kids”? “I love you daddy” with a hand print must be available to order from the scumbag catalog.

The dealerships just need to make the process easier and less time consuming. We can negotiate price, extended warranty, trade in, and financing all thru email or some website (even sign the paperwork). The current process takes way too long. Shouldn’t take 6 hours to walk out with a new car.

While they lobby to block Tesla from direct selling cars in a state. Looking at you Louisiana.

Florida just did this also. Pretty dickhead move; it's purely to protect the dealerships at the detriment of the consumer. The dealer groups must be throwing around some wild money.

They already are, it just hasn't been realized yet. If it were not for the arcane state laws protecting them, the dealer model would already be dead.

Instead of independent dealers, it will be manufacturers placing delivery/services centers around the country.

“All of those online companies are filing for bankruptcy. See vroom and carvana”

This guy gets it.

“Carvana understand this for the used market but destroys you on the interest rate.“

And there’s the small matter of them being unable to produce titles.

I checked out of curiosity what they could offer, 11.5% over 36 months, Carmax offered me 5.75%

It’s hilarious the people white knighting for these online dealers like they are any less shady. Carvana has sold stolen vehicles before!

Huh? Besides OnStar, XM, and wifi, what are you subscribing to?

I think some BMW models were going to make you pay a monthly fee for using your heated seats.

They’re already obsolete but protected by state franchise laws. Same as realtors, little to no value add but protected by lobbyists.

I love it when govt props up "business" for no reason other than political cash.

I found my wife’s car online and never saw the car until I walked in the dealership to by it. I knew what we wanted though.
