I just started a new job a couple weeks ago. I didn’t let them know ahead of time but I did talk to them before starting and asked if it would be a problem while letting them know I’m flexible and could cancel if need be. They were fine with it and told me they’d just put someone else on fryer duty until I come back.

I thought you were killing it in insurance? Last time you wrote about it you seemed pretty happy with it if I remember correctly. Market forces ? Better gig?
