LSU fans booed him when he was in Tiger Stadium coaching the Dolphins, so I’m guessing no.

I was at that game; people gave him a standing ovation. The bad blood didn't start until he signed on with Bama.

<——Was there but (subtle brag warning) I was in a box so even if I’d have wanted to boo that man, he’d have not heard me.

There weren’t that many folks there, as I recall.

Benson & Tagliabue were nearby.

What? bullshite. I was there. It was weird as frick seeing him on the VISITOR sideline then. Little did we know he’d be back many, many times in the future. But there was literally a standing ovation, myself included.

When he later signed with Bama, I instantly loathed him. Just like that. I mean instantly. It was like a knife in the gut. He was a traitorous motherfricker in the absolute blink of an eye.

I’ve cooled on him a bit since then but it was a long road back to finding him even palatable. Once enough time has passed, I’d welcome him back.

But he’s still got that Bama stink on him. It’s too early. If he’s still alive in 2033, let’s talk.
