Can anyone explain finishing positions after a wreck? Keslowski was running second when the wreck happed, yet finished 33rd overall; behind others who DNF in the same wreck.
Reason for the question is I had Kes to beat Blaney but standings show Blaney ahead and Blaney got knocked out in the same wreck. Curious how they shake that out

They use timing on certain areas of the track to determine finishing order

Chances are NASCAR hasn't finalized the order yet so give it some time and maybe it'll adjust
That's about all I can say about it without replaying it
