This is the truth. Keeping your kids from daycare is hurting them more than it’s helping them.

It’s healthy for their development to learn how to be around other children and adults. It’s not “letting another person raise your kids”.

We are a 2 income house hold. As another poster mentioned, we are around for everything possible. If work has a problem with that, then so be it. I’m not missing out on anything.

This is the biggest crock of shite in this entire thread.

There is nothing about having a stay-at-home parent that harms them socially. Any stay at home parent is going to make sure their kids get social time because it is a helluva lot easier than being stuck in your house with just your kid or kids every day. No parent would survive that.

And just getting to be around other kids or people isn't necessarily a good thing. How do you know a daycare is going to properly teach your kids the right way to interact with other kids and adults? Are you vetting their degrees in early childhood development? Most daycares are not employing degreed experts.

Getting poor socializing guidance by strangers can do far more damage to your kids than a loving parent staying home with them.
