State leased camp property

How do I go about seeing what property is available for lease by the state/school board, and how do I start the process of getting into one of these leases?

Email the school board for whatever parish you're interested in. They will add you to an email list and send out Section 16 leases every year that have become available or are up for renewal.

Louisiana State Land Office offers camp leases

I know in mississippi some of the management of 16th section leases is contracted out. To a company that is less organized than the school districts.
Secretary of State has a website that shows location of leases, but the status of the leases are not accurate. Good luck.

Go to Secretary of State and look up the manager of the county's land manager. Contact them directly. Good luck.
If it's not leased then it has a serious back door reason, and you ain't getting it. Easement, political friends, etc.
