Norfolk or Bull Shoals Lake, glitter boat above the dam, and fly fish below it, can red neck yacht club, waverunner, kayak or stand up paddle board too if you want.

Probably as south as you can be to see all four seasons, and still in central time zone. Drinking coffee on the porch when it was 55° in June made me want to sell my shite and quit work right there.

Besides the fishing, there’s great outdoorsing around the area. Deer and duck hunting plus golf and hiking are all above average.

I lived on Norfork for 2 years, and I agree with everything you are saying, not to mention they have small mouth and walleye as well. My only complaint is the largemouth do not get as big as they do farther South.

Fork is in a funk and has not produced as many giant bass recently as it has in the past. The jury is still out on what's going on there.

Toledo is doing okay and ready to reemerge as a top bass lake in the nation if it continues on it's current track.

Final answer, retire on Toledo, go to Bull Shoals/Norfork for vacation a couple of weeks during the heat of summer.
