He's used to being the best player by a long shot on worse teams like at Tulane. Don't get me wrong, he's likely the best player but it's not by far. He was a big fish in small pond at Tulane and now he's a medium sized fish in a lake that is the SEC.

Don't get me wrong he's not a bad player, but he's not the type of player that your entire team should run through in the SEC. We need to find ways to involve other players in our offense and utilize his playmaking ability. Whether schemed or tunnel vision, he has a tendency to go into hero ball mode. We need to avoid that as much as possible if we want to consistently be competitive in the SEC.

I agree. Sometimes I think he decides he’s going to shoot before he crosses mid-court. He definitely has playmaking skills. I would kind of like to see how him and Jalen Reed would work with some pick and roll action.

It’s what cook is comfortable doing because it’s all he has ever done. Doesn’t seem like what McMahon wants to do, which just makes it odd that we took him.

Guess McMahon thought he would be able to coach him up, but that doesn’t appear to be happening.
