It was a sloppily played game by both pitchers and defenders on a chilly, and windy field; 7 WP's and 4 HBP along with 5 E. Temps in the mid to low 60's with a 7-10 mph NNW wind.

Crowd size started out about 250 and lessened throughout the game.

Hopefully the sun will make a much needed appearence Sunday

Chase Shores threw in the bullpen prior to the scrimmage. He wasn't throwing at max velo but has a near sidearm slot.

It’s good to see Kling and Neal put a few hits together. I really think Frey will push for a starting spot… I wouldn’t mind him getting some reps at 1B.

I really think that Frey will break out this season and shine. He just has to find a spot to get him on the field and get the opportunity.

Heard Theriot talking about him the other day. Said he was hitting 100.

Unfortunately that isn’t going to help with that level of control.

Our pitching staff has the stuff to be a great one. The key will be those that can stay near the zone and get calls and swings and misses. A lot of BBs will reduce IPs.
