What type of tree is this? And do you think I can burn it outside unseasoned in my pit?

Ligustrum

I have these on my property and like them a LOT better than crape myrtles. Should burn in a pit with no problem.

I felt that way too until I got a hold of black locust wood. It was like trying to burn a rock. Lol

as noted it’s waxleaf ligustrum. The wood burns fine, those green leaves send up a bunch of acrid smoke though

get that stump out or it will sprout right back

Wax Leaf Ligustrum, anything will burn if the fire is hot enough. Wouldn't use it to start a fire.
