Amazing how you 3 months ago our place was the driest it has ever been. Walking in today, I’ve never seen so much water on the trails, roads, ponds, etc.

60°. Very wet.
Mathews phase 4
Iron will broadhead
In my saddle about 50 yards off an atv trail. Couldn’t get to where I wanted to go because the trail was flooded too bad. Would’ve needed a snorkel and waders. Had to turn around and set up on some rubs I found earlier in the year. I don’t love it, but I’m giving it my all. Good luck!

Area 4
On the porch drinking coffee
Wet but rain has passed
Waiting on the lease neighbor to show up with his beagles so we can shoot a black iron pot worth of rabbits.

Awesome, get at it. It's only been 2 weeks but it seems like my season ended forever ago.

Was debating making a run since what was supposed to by my final weekend was spent in a hospital instead of a blind, but I’ve seen almost nothing on my 3 cell cameras since the torrential rains started, other than a flock of gobblers that doesn’t seem phased by the storms.

St. Tammany
Bow
Comfortable
Bucks only but not being super picky. Need another deer in the freezer.
I made a plan last night to wake up around 6 and wait for the rain to stop. Drank coffee til 8:15 and just got set up about 20 minutes ago. I’m set up on a draw towards the river that makes a little waterfall and it’s really pleasant.
Going to hunt this afternoon, all day tomorrow, and pick whichever day before Wednesday that the wind looks best and take off. Unless I get one before then.

Saw 6 does this morning. All passed behind me at about 40 yards.

Saw 6 does this morning
Around 7:30 a guy drove past me on the trail, must have realized he needed waders to continue, turned around and must have gotten waders at his truck and then drove back by me. At about the same time I caught a cramp, scurried down the tree and blew mud all over a nearby tree base. Then I left and went found a new spot for this evening.
So, at least your morning was better than mine

Going to go walk the woods this afternoon to hunt for squirrels. I'll bring a deer rifle in case I stumble across a nice buck but that is wishful thinking on my part. Only antlered buck I've seen this year was a 3 pointer.
Temperature has already dropped from upper 60s to 55 with strong gusts out of the west.

Haven’t hunted here since I wounded the 8 point. Let’s just say the bow is functioning way better and I’m more comfortable. Hopefully he shows up.

This is for you Big Country. With all this rain, you’ll need a boat to get to your stand.

I squirrel hunted with my .22 this afternoon. Only saw one squirrel near sunset. Saw 5 deer in a food plot and had a 6th one blow at me in a different field. I saw more deer in this one squirrel hunt than I did all season sitting in a stand at one time. My 3 year old is pretty excited about eating squirrel. My wife doesn't want anything to do with it.
