Imagine not being able to critique HVL without being looked at as being ignorant. Man, just stop!

HVL wanted to play/learn the PG position and her coach at L'ville was against it. After finally considering it, they decided to bring in a true PG from the portal and HVL chose to transfer. HVL came to LSU and KM has been letting her learn the PG position. It hasn't gone well for LSU and that's a fact. The biggest weakness of this team is lack of depth AND not having a true PG. Last night she had 3 assists and 3 turnovers, that's NEVER good for your PG. The problem is compounded by the fact that NOBODY else can play the position at a suitable level either.

HVL deserves criticism because she isn't being FORCED to play PG, she want to learn it because she's projected to be too small at the next level for SG and her only shot of making it is at the PG position. Just go back and look at her recruitment here.

It would be a miracle if someone stepped up at this point in the season off the bench. Del Rosario has been pretty solid, especially for being a freshman. HVL had turnovers that were key because of when and how they occurred.

For everyone saying Mikaylah was more of the reason they lost than HVL, you're crazy! MW is a true freshman and shouldn't be expected to play much better in her first big game than she did. HVL has BEEN playing at this level and she is struggling on BOTH sides of the ball. She gives MAXIMUM effort but just isn't good enough at the PG RIGHT NOW. She may improve, she may not, it remains to be seen. She has poor court vision, can't consistently beat her opponent off the dribble, isn't comfortable handling the ball when the opposition closes space, doesn't know when to and how to get her teammates involved VS when to try to score the ball herself, and creates a lot of problems on defense because she can never keep her opponent in front of her, causing teammates to CONSTANTLY have to help. She is definitely struggling at the PG position. Again though, this is what SHE asked for.
