If BK was faking an accent, why only one word? Why the word “family?”
It’s really stupid that people actually think he did it on purpose, when the much more obvious explanation is that he was caught between words and it came out sounding funny. Add this writer to the list of morons.

who gives a shite whether he did or didn't. It was minimal at most and just having fun. Who cares? If as a southerner you got hired to coach at Minnesota, it would be fun to sling out a cheezy fun Fargo like accent at a press conference. Seems like everybody outside La was triggered by this. Weaklings!
