Thinking back to whoever posted about it crumbling in the water main thread, and they might have a point...

Pothole coming down Deckbar from Earhart was not marked. Got me and at least 10 others cars, getting both passenger side tires.

Lastly, is there any way for them to pay for it? If it was just me, ok. However, it was way more than just me.

I took pics of ever car that I could

I called someone in charge of JP roads to report it. Who should I call tomorrow? It is doing thousands of dollars worth of damage.

Good luck with that. A family friend was able to get the city of New Orleans to pay for repairs on his car when he hit a pothole and it tore out his oil pan. That was pre-Katrina.

It’s a state highway, not a parish road.

I am hoping since it isn't Nola, maybe they would be understanding.

It wasn't marked or anything, so maybe it was new or maybe just careless by them.

Contact your councilman and council at large. 2 weeks ago a garbage truck hit and ran my wife’s car. Fortunately it was caught on my neighbors camera, so I’m having them pay for it. Trash company, not parish.

Ugh my vehicle was part of this mess too. Were you able to find a number to speak to with someone about filing a claim?

I called Scott Walker. They told me to call Parish President. They told me to call JP Roads. They forwarded me to East roads. They didn't pick up.

I sent an email. If no response, I'll go back up the chain of command and tell them who didn't respond.

I drove back by it today to see if they did anything. I am fairly certain there will be more fun happening tonight.

They just reported they have water main breaks all over the parish and are repairing up to 200

If this latest main water line break was the most important water line that services 250,000 homes, and they admittedly knew about it

Why wasnt it priority #1??

Yet? Hahaha. It should have been the first thing they’d get to especially since they admittedly knew about it

Heads will roll

Update:

Received email:

The area that caused damage to your tires was a Utility Cut for the Jefferson Parish Water Dept

Their contractor Fleming repaired the water line.

Turns out, I have to email former LSU baseball player Mason Katz. He is the project manager for that job
