I Bond interest taxable?

Treasury Direct is telling me it is but I just wanted to make sure with you calculator in the shirt pocket types.

It just bothers me when the government gives me money and then wants some back. How about you just give me what I can keep?

You can do it either way with I bonds.

It’s up to you actually. Most people pay when they withdraw but it can be more advantageous to pays as you go for some people.

Pretty much every interest income imaginable is taxable
