The NFL consensus is that Williams is the number 1 ranked player in this draft. I think they know a lot more than you do.
Scouts also have a tendency to fall in love with a players physical talents but ignore other things that are major red flags.
Williams has a lot of Ryan Leaf in him.

Williams can make plays off platform, change arm angles, and can drive the ball slightly better than Daniels, But I am not sure he has what it takes between the ears. I think he’s been famous too long, let it get to his head. He’s not exactly iron-clad from a leadership standpoint in my opinion either. He’ll have a tough time stepping into an NFL locker room and commanding grown men. But if I’m wrong, his talent is great enough to win a Super Bowl.
With Daniels, you get close to the same arm talent with slightly less creativity/improv. You do however get a guy who can move the chains with his feet when things break down and a red-zone run threat..simply put, he has to get out of bounds and slide in the NFL or he won’t last. From a leadership standpoint, I think Daniel’s is a more likeable guy who teammates will gravitate to.
