You stated above "suicide" There is zero evidence of this assertion. Zero. c-19 hit the elderly. China has a glut of elderly healthy less productive citizens. If China was harmed, let alone "suicided" put the evidence out here. Otherwise this is a over the top incorrect statement that could have been written by Xi himself.
Which makes your second statement null and void.

Look up economic data on China, Europe, and the US since Covid. Would you describe this as a positive or negative trend?
