A proper staff will evaluate talent inhouse thoroughly before bringing in every Tom, Dick and Harry from the transfer portal. Look what happened this season! I can't think of one TP player that worked out for us on defense.

Even if we don't bring in one more transfer, I have the utmost confidence that this new staff will significantly improve our defense. Just getting back to an aggressive LSU style scheme alone will probably move us up 40-50 spots. House's "bend but don't break" soft zone BS WAS NOT LSU defense.

100% agree

Can't tell me that the talent we have is as bad as they performed. It's also a vote of confidence to the recruits which might go a long way in preventing a fallout if we add someone in the spring.

BK has made it more than clear that he intends to build his roster from hs and top off the weak spots with transfers. It's too early to panic over DT. BK has a plan, and it will play out in a positive way.

Yep, the last thing they need to do is waste a valuable scholarship on another Duce or Denver.

Nobody has asked them to do that, but picking up a couple of decent defensive tackles is a no-brainer. Pete Jenkins even told them how thin we are at that position. I don’t know of any coaches that take Pete Jenkins with a grain of salt.
