I had the ridge grapplers on my last truck and got a new truck and put the recon grapplers on it. Much better ride. Not as aggressive as the ridge grappler but they still look good and have been great on job sites, hunting camp and highway.

Sounds like Cooper, Falken, & Nitto’s are the ones to really keep my eyes on in that order. Thanks for the reviews fellas! I appreciate it.

If you like the Toyo’s look at the Open Country R/T Trail.

Falken Wildpeak AT3W. Best tires I've put on a 1/2 ton truck.
Ive had these on my 3/4 ton and they have been great. Been driving on ice for 4 days and they have passed the biggest test for me.

This might have been asked before. What do you drive?
I know some folks that have a set of street/all terrain tires for non hunting season months then mud tires for hunting months (deer, duck and Turkey seasons)

VERY RECENT EXPERIENCE:
I wish I had this thread a few months ago when I installed Yokohama M/Ts on my Power Wagon...they've done great on Forest Service Roads and getting me out of deep mud...however...
Was up in north Mississippi hunting this week when this Arctic blast came through with snow that turned to pure ice and then a tad slush and then back to black ice...I barely made it out of there on those mud terrains...had to drive no faster than 25 mph on state highways towing an ATV getting out of there.
When I saw other trucks blowing by me, I knew it was the mud tires. Great for rough stuff and mud, not wintery weather. Will look at the Falkens suggested...hate to spend the money for another set of tires, but I need to be prepared as I do quite a bit of out of state public land hunting up north and this white knuckle driving I recently experienced over 3 days has sold me. Thank the good LORD for being older and wiser to just slow down as anything faster I lost traction.

I sell tires for a living and I would highly recommend the Cooper AT3/Road&Trail or the Cooper Rugged Trek's. I just had a guy come in to get a new set of Cooper RT's and he had over 100k on his old set.
This. I have 101k miles on my set of Cooper AT3's right now. Won't be much longer and I'll replace them with another set of Coopers. Only had 4 punctures in all those miles and only rotated every 5,500 or so miles.
