That’s one of the main draws. Want access to solid white tail hunting but not live in BFE. A medium sized town with a few things other than a dollar general is ideal. Tupelo seems to check the boxes on paper.
it's also only 30 minutes from the Tennessee Tombigbee waterway if you're into fishing, skiing, etc.

tupelo is a nice little city. they've got about everything any other small city has as far as shopping goes. yeah there's not a ton to do, but outside of bars, etc., most places don't. I mean, how many times can you go to a museum or zoo before you find yourself knocking around another outlet mall to take up time?

cost of living is good, and it's close to starkville and oxford for sec games. Also, for some reason, tupelo has alot of really good restaurants- some being superb.

In rural America you've got to find things to do, which usually involves the outdoors; which is why having acreage is so much better regarding quality of life when country living. public land being nearby is great too, and tupelo offers a nice little mix where you can afford land, have public land and water nearby, but not have to drive an hour for some shopping.

Well said man. I haven’t seen really any negative responses about Tupelo so it seems like it passes the OT test which is extremely rare.

Like you said sure it’s nice to have museums and zoos in town but ask anyone who has access they probably go once a year at most. You can get your city fix on a weekend trip to any city.

Memphis being kind of nearby has its pros. Seems like you can do what you need to do there and get back home. 2 hr drive ain’t bad. It’s close but not too close where the cons leak over into your community.
