Now that you mention it I did chuckle when Cera told a joke that included Stephen Malkmus, not that it was very funny but mostly because I knew it would go over most of the viewers heads.

He was the closest thing to funny that was in the movie for me. But that's just because I still appreciate how plainly he delivers his lines as only he does.
