The weirdest case I've read about was a guy and girl from a relatively small city who met each other while in their 20s.
They hit it off and dated and after a reasonable time decided to get married.
They were both adopted right after birth to different pairs of adoptive parents. One pair of parents did not know the donor. One of the pair did. That pair knew that the guy and girl were fraternal twins adopted out separately and tried to stop the wedding.
The couple did not care. They were in love and wanted to marry.
I don't think there was a legal barrier and don't know how it ended up.
