Duck counts and pop estimates are flawed. Ducks population is a lot lower that what is being projected. They interview a biologists who has been working on ducks for 30 something years.

Thanks. Also the additive harvest affect late Jan. (I’m listening now).
I blame Trent Lott for the population crash.
Also, I agree on lower population numbers, podcast cites mid-winter surveys from La and surrounding (which do not show La’s lost ducks in surrounding), which correlate to the USFWS harvest reports for several yrs back, that LA’s losses in harvested ducks do not show up in other states. This also correlates to what I’ve witnessed over the last 40 yrs as well: From ducks, to not shite.
