This map is 100% about Jeff Landry taking out Garrett Graves.
This. It always goes back to Team Jindal vs Team Vitter. Back in 2010, Jindal was involved in redistricting and eliminated Landry’s congressional district. This forced Landry to run against an entrenched Lafayette political family backed by Jindal. Landry was backed by Vitter. Team Jindal won. Charles Boustany would eventually be brought down by Cajun John Wayne (also backed by Vitter) while Landry won the AG job. Graves was a Jindal disciple, picked by Bobby to run CPRA, and then backed for his Congressional run.
The branches of the state party which backed David Vitter or Bobby Jindal back in the day are STILL fighting each other tooth and nail.

Naw dog. In 2016, he ran for Senate against Kennedy and lost.
The only reason Higgins was able to win is because Boustany gave up that seat.
