I believe all of that, but it's super shitty for them to do layoffs and blame performance instead of just saying they are downsizing. People generally just want honest feedback. "Your performance met expectations but we are downsizing and have to let those who are not making revenue have to go first." Yknow?

That said, I'm definitely just taking this person's word at face value. None of us know jack about her or her performance.
