Depends on the owner. Mine is a large, newish apartment complex. I talked to the owner, told him exactly what id be doing. I am a good renter for them. Rent is autodrafted. The apartment always stays clean and staged well. They can use it to show potential renters when guests arent there.
It would be unwise to try to do this without informing the owner first.
I don't understand this. You rented an apartment- and then you list it on AirBnB, and make enough money doing this to make it worth it to keep renting the apartment? Where is this? Why would people pay to stay in an apartment complex?
This is eye opening for me.

Oh yes. Im not down on giving out personal details...but ill give you some numbers. Its a 3br 3.5ba apartment. I paid $27000 in rent/utilities/cleaning and grossed about $45000 in revenue for the year. By no means is this a magic bullet easy money in the bank thing. I spent plenty of time cleaning/preparing/dealing with guests etc. As you can see this one apartment isnt making me a baller but its a nice supplement to my main income.
