Think about what... That you are likely as uninformed as he is?

46000 price
4577 in taxes (before reduction for trade in)
575 in titling
51125 total

Most of your local banks aren't going to top out around 140% of value. Assuming they don't want invoice for value, that's a max of 64000 before any warranty or gap.

Assuming 46k value and 4499 in warranty and gap, that's 68.5k with no negative equity or tax credit. Given he would have had to max out that loan to cover his trade, he's likely at 68.5k
