Why? And if you say it's because of lack of experience or that he's had a change of heart politically, did you vote for Trump in 2016? If so, I fail to see the difference.

There’s nothing he could respond with that wouldn’t come off as hypocritical or needlessly dramatic.

He has nothing to judge him on. He can literally campaign on any issue and promise the world, because he has no ideological basis or history.

You're right, there's not much difference. Trump was an Independent, then a Republican, then an Independent again, then a Democrat, then an Independent again, then a Republican again. And that's exactly what he governed like.
And yes, I voted for Trump rather than let Hillary win in 2016 and I would vote for Ramaswamey rather than letting Biden win in 2024. All day long. Better to have someone who governs like a Democrat only sometimes rather than someone who governs like a Democrat all the time.
But this is primary season, not the general election. We have better choices at this stage of the process.
