I put more of the blame on the dumbass naive Bulls. They had to have known Krause was going to get booed. Especially after the way the Last Dance covered him. They opened it up with a shot of his face on the scoreboard and did not announce his wife until like 4 or 5 seconds after. People were booing his face on the scoreboard not his wife. Still fricked up considering he’s dead and all but still.
What they should have done is show her first and then announce she is representing Jerry. Would have been a different reaction.

Cubs are not the laughing stock of baseball. Now the White Sox….

I don't know if it can be justified, but Krause was very arrogant, as I recall - and he seemed to have no regard for what the fans wanted, the sentimental attachment that tons of people had to that Bulls roster, no respect for the idea that champions continue to be champions and defend until they can no longer do so, and so forth.
IIRC he condemned that team to being "losers" without giving them a chance to defend and be overtaken by another team. At that time in the NBA, you had a run of teams and each got overtaken, sort of like a lion leading his pride. He does so until he's knocked out. This was considered the proper course of things, as I remember.
I think the Bulls players and fans wanted that opportunity, and truthfully, they had earned it. I don't blame anyone for not liking Krause, he denied them an opportunity - that said, it's been so many years, and it's his widow, just let her stand there and live that moment. Don't shite on her like that. You express your anger on call-in radio shows, not at a live event like that.

They could just not boo the dead guy who was a big part of the only major success in franchise history. Also even if he's the only reason they broke up, it's not like they broke up when everybody was 28. shite was basically over anyway. After the Last Dance season Rodman played 35 more games in the NBA and Pippen was a shell of himself.

I agree with you. Krause is the best GM in Chicago sports history and it’s not even objectively close either. But fans/mob are dumb.

Anyone that remembers the behavior of Bears fans at the NFCCG vs the Saints or Steve Bartman shouldn't be surprised at this. Chicago sports fans are pure human garbage.
One of my buddies from Chicago says that White Sox fans are the nastiest people he’s ever encountered in all his life. He says their almost subhuman scum.

Krause couldn't change MJs untouchable status dead or alive. He's insignificant to Jordan's legacy.

Hes literally on video accepting his part in it. Should the fans be disingenuous and give him false cheers even though they despised him? Don't we bash people for being two-faced and dishonest in this society? This country is soft as cotton.

Theo Epstein did what some thought was impossible in 2016.

Outside of MJ, Kraus was the architect of everything. And won 6 of them. Theo is obviously a legend but gotta give the nod to Kraus.

I think a testament to what kind of job Kraus did was the year after Jordan retired the first time. 1994 Bulls went 55-27 and lost in seven games in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals to the the eventual NBA finalist Knicks. That’s a very good season for the first season after losing the GOAT.
