January 11, 1982 it was 9 degrees in Acadia parish and we went to school.

9° is no big deal if it’s dry. People in LA aren’t smart enough to drive in perfect conditions, do you really want to get out on the road if it’s icy?

Plus we aren’t equipped to handle icy roads and bridges like places up north that regularly deal with icy roads.

So foolish. What would y’all have done if someone had pulled a muscle? How would the ambulance had made its way through the destruction?
