Nice. Slightly inconvenient but nice never the less.

I ended up getting a room in Kenner for the night but I’m trying to get home this morning. Is taking 90 to Lafayette from here advisable?

I wouldn’t until later. There’s going to be patchy ice. BR is bad right now

From all the reports on here, driving anywhere that doesn’t have multiple routes this morning would not be advisable.

Yea. I wouldn't go anywhere if you don't absolutely have to and I'd stick to the backroads as much as possible. It's pretty nasty outside, and people in louisiana get extra retarded in this stuff. It's not the conditions so much as the other drivers and their total lack of respect for the conditions.

Josh “Eeatadick” Eachus said minimal icing issues! That fricker failed miserably yet again!

I didn't think it was going to be as nasty as it ended up. Seems like it rained all night last night. The north side of my house has about 1/4" layer of ice on the siding. I've never seen that happen

I was just about to post this! Yea, he downplayed the ice all week. Nothing will happen in BR etc. They need to put him out to pasture.

He’s a giant douchebag. His very punchable face would be forgiven if he were actually a decent meteorologist but he is terrible.

Josh Eachus:
Nah, don’t worry, very minimal issues only on trees and elevated surfaces in Baton Rouge. The bigger issues are north of here.

Baton Rouge: we’ve shut down all the interstates and bridges, power outages are increasing, and we’ve had three DOTD trucks crash after sliding around on icy roads!

Is this the same guy that got into a Facebook fight with people last time claiming there was no snow in BR while people were posting selfies of themselves in snow?

LOL
Jay Grymes blocked a bunch of people on Facebook a few years ago for calling him out.

Josh Eatadick Eachus is the one who, in 2017, stuck to his “no accumulations” prediction even as Baton Rouge was piling up an inch of snow. I am just south of BR and ended up with 6.5” of snow that day. He’s consistently VERY wrong.

How did you measure it?

The OT way, you went balls deep into the snow.

So glad we closed schools today. It’s cold but bone dry out there.
