I am. I would never consider looking for my birth parents. I was 14 days old at adoption. My parents were, are and always will be the ones who raised me.

My older brother is also adopted (we have no blood relation). He did have interest in finding his birth parents at one time. Being adopted used to bother him for some reason. He felt like he was unwanted. I myself do not understand that train of thought.

I'm 37 and up until about a few years ago, I had the exact same mindset as you. I liked not knowing my biological family history, thinking I had a clean slate on life. My mom and dad that raised me are my parents and always will be. Nothing can or will change that, and they know that too.

Not until recently I realized I HAD to find my biological parents for one reason: family medical history. I have two young girls and if there's some preventative steps I can take to prolong my life with them on this planet, I'd be doing my girls and me a disservice to not turn over every rock to make that happen.

Fast forward to last week, I found my biological father and am in the process of tracking down my biological mother.

My mom was adopted and I asked her if she ever looked for her bio parents and she said no because she never felt like my grandparents weren’t her parents.
