They had coaches poached by Florida State and Miami in the last few years. All that Nike money going into the program is wasted on uniforms and has never been spent on anything of substance

Nike is a publicly traded company on the NYSE and the Board of Directors of same are beholding to their stockholders. Besides some NIL deals for advertising purposes, Nike, Inc. is not dumping tons of money into the UO athletic programs. Conversely, Oregon has Phil Knight's money behind them, which is his individual wealth, but it is not Nike's money.
