I saw this coming. I am a recruiter and used to have a contract with them to hire upper management. It was very hard to find people who weren't Louisiana natives willing to live in Baton Rouge. I know it's just "a restaurant" and I'll get a bunch of other whataboutisms that is typical for Louisianans that cope about the state but it's 100% true. Ask anyone involved in the economic development process and they'll tell you the same thing.

Would you want to move your family to BR if you had no other ties to LA?

Sure, but are you telling me a company based off of selling Louisiana food is better off in another state?
Atlanta also likely has a LOT higher cost of living. $150,000 salary goes a lot further in BR then it does in ATL, and you should be saving money in BR on some employees allowing you to pay MORE for your employees that you need the outside talent.
In other words, it seems like a poor model to move to ATL and pay the same. So if the suggestion is, no you have to pay more in ATL then hell maybe you should have payed more in BR to start?

Born and raised in this state and still wouldn’t live in BR.

yeah talked to him a few times and they mentioned that issue a lot, though I thought they were going to head to Texas.
Our fricked up school system is a huge deterrent, though no one in BR seems to care. The private school system is so engrained into the culture here most are content to just let the public school system rot, more concerned about the "status symbol" of which private school your kid goes to....but its arse backwards to the rest of the country
