Donald Trump: This is how I will end Joe Biden's border disaster on day one.

The most urgent task facing the next president is to end Joe Biden’s nation-wrecking nightmare on our southern border. I am the only candidate who will stop this invasion — and I will do it on day one.
Under the Trump administration, we had the most secure border in U.S. history. We ended catch-and-release, and removed over 1 million illegal aliens in my first term. I negotiated unprecedented agreements with Central American nations and brokered “Remain in Mexico” to stop the flow of migrants to our border. I also got the Mexican government to deploy tens of thousands of soldiers to the border free of charge.
Every step of the way, we fought obstructionist left-wing judges and radical Democrat activists who tried to stop us — and we won.
By the time I left office, we’d built 500 miles of border wall, with many more miles just weeks away from completion. And under my Title 42 policy, people all over the world knew that if they entered illegally, we would send them straight back home.
But then Joe Biden came in, canceled the border wall, ended Remain in Mexico, ripped up my asylum bans, ended Title 42, and began resettling millions of migrants into American communities at taxpayer expense.
Now you are witnessing the disastrous results. We have the highest number of illegal border crossings in history, by far. Nearly a quarter million migrants crossed in November alone — and that’s a likely vast undercount. Migrants are overwhelming our cities. Drugs, criminals, gang members and terrorists are pouring in.
On my first day back in office, I will terminate every open borders policy of the Biden administration and immediately restore the full set of strong Trump border policies.
Then, we will begin a record-setting deportation operation. Joe Biden has given us no choice. The millions of illegal aliens who have invaded under Biden require a record number of removals. This is just common sense.
To achieve this goal, I will make clear to every department and to state and local governments that we must use all resources and authorities available. We will shift massive portions of federal law enforcement to immigration enforcement — including parts of the DEA, ATF, FBI, and DHS.
I also will invoke the Alien Enemies Act to remove known or suspected gang members, drug dealers, or cartel members from the United States. And we will use Title 42 to end the child trafficking crisis at last.
Joe Biden is leaving behind a catastrophe of historic proportions. The next president must secure the border while also stopping inflation, saving the economy, cleaning up Washington corruption, restoring peace through strength, and preventing World War III.
We do not have time for on-the-job training. Unlike every other candidate, with me, there is no question. I promise you that I will get this job done.
Iowans want secure borders. You must send that message with your vote. Show up on Jan. 15 and vote to stop the invasion by caucusing for Donald J. Trump.
Donald J. Trump is a Republican candidate for president. He was the 45th president of the United States.

That’s the single most pressing issue and reason enough for every American to support him.

This agency needs to be completely eliminated Day 1, IMO.

That's not much of a plan. I'm not surprised.
This is about inflow and outflow.
You can't just deport and satisfy outflow requirements. You must incentivize self-deportation.
You must eliminate inflow and that means boots on the ground, on the entire border. Immediate anti-mobility obstacle emplacement, with no entry into the country. Then start on a wall to cover the entire border.
Trump is just giving us campaign fluff.

Trump’s focus on the border is one of the unquestionably good things about his administration, but is this a true statement? Every graph I’ve ever seen shows that there wasn’t a huge difference in illegals.

Trump is going to build them a new palace with gold plated toilets, fancy lounges, customized coffee machines, yoga studios, and all sorts of stuff - because that's how you eliminate corruption. You shower it with money, new buildings, and all the best amenities.
If only the FBI had a new building, then they wouldn't violate the Constitution so much. This is logic 101.

I don't think this^^^^ is correct.
Illegal border crossings per year under Trump averaged less than 500k/year, under Jotato illegal border crossings will average 2 million/year.
Here's the Pew research chart link through 2021.

Then why the frick do we keep talking about trans people, and jesus, and abortion, and a million other unpopular social issues.
The republicans don't want to fix the border.

But that wasn’t the claim. Your own link puts him in the same ballpark as Obama.

Trump was in the 300k/year range until 2020. Trump tried to build the southern border wall with a R controlled House and Senate.....the R Uniparty faction didn't want the wall.

I agree 100%
(other than people in Iowa worrying much about the border..lol)

My problem with a Border Wall is that it's more expensive, takes longer to deploy, and not as effective as the alternative
ETA: The alternative being a minefield
Cheaper than a wall
Easier to deploy than a wall
Faster to deploy than a wall
More effective than a wall
And much harder for a liberal administration to take down than a wall

Apparently so was Obama, so where is his claim coming from? He should have just said he was miles better than the current idiot; that would have been accurate.

Again, not a lot different than Obama, especially given the error margin the numbers almost certainly have.

No. Just the head of the snake and down a few vertebrae. If I was the next POTUS I would request a list of the top ten FBI official to run the Dept from the leadership of the D's and R's. Avoid these 10-20 and select from unknown way down the list agents from around the country.
Then listen to the "end of the rule of law as we know it" from DC, the MiC, the IC and the msm.

The southern border immigration data seems difficult to nail down. I think the basic question that needs to be answered is how many illegals have stayed under each administration. Just to clarify that chart is "apprehension and expulsions" and does not show how many crossed.
For example Obama could have had 1MM crossings and 300K apprehensions and expulsions for a net of 700K staying. Whereas Trump could have had 300K crossing and 300K apprehensions and expulsions for a net of zero staying.
I do believe Trump's Remain in Mexico severely reduced the number of crossing because I recall a lot of belly aching from the southern border NGOs who were not making as much money under Trump as they were making under Obama. The NGOs are making bank under Biden.
