Dude, he's got a 22 Essentials box and can't even find the GPO console. You are pointing him to SCCM or Intune?!
if this is Essentials, then that means it's the only server...unless there's no domain...in which case GPOs aren't even applicable.
I'd wager the workstations aren't even joined to the domain. If this IS a DC, he needs to not touch it and call someone.
Let me take a look at Patchmypc see if it does what I need... ETA: all I'm trying to do is get it to install Windows Defender updates automatically. Right now it just downloads them...
