That seems to be the consensus among draft analysts and media types that cover this stuff, right or wrong. Caleb's highlights are a hybrid of Rodgers and Mahomes and his ceiling is through the roof.
I don't grind tape though, so who the hell knows for sure.

I mean what do you think Fields ceiling is? A decent NFL QB? A guy that in a few years after you pay him a lot he can maybe get you to the playoffs?
Fields doesn't have a high ceiling and he's had enough starts now to tell you that his floor is actually pretty low too. He's not going to get you where you want to be.
You might not be high on Williams and that's fine, but a lot of people are and he is one of the higher rated QB's coming out of college in the past 5+ years. He might not give you more right away than what a year four Fields would, but he certainly has more upside.

Williams is only a rookie for one season. Williams comes in already a better passer than the “experienced” Fields.
