Europe for 5 days would be insane. Even a week is rough with jet lag.

Nothing wrong with it in a vacuum, but that is a very physically demanding turn around for someone who doesn't travel. They are likely to spend half the trip jet lagged in their hotel. We live in a very large country with tremendous geographic diversity. I would suggest they take multiple major domestic trips before considering something across the Atlantic.
