What you preach is the cold, hard truth.
In this day and age, you have to carefully "red-pill" your children during their adolescent formative years and be an active mentor in their lives during this time.
A job in high-school, descent grades in core-curriculum, test-scores and extracurricular activities won't be enough to get that tuition break at your favorite state school, but the Jesuits will back the money truck up to your door.
I practiced what I preached and with reservation sent two daughters (no pics), one to NOLA and one to Philadelphia, into the fiery crucibles where true progressives are forged.
Both emerged hardened, their values intact, and got pretty good jobs with B.A. degrees...because they're grounded and have a work ethic.
