There is no such thing as a 'Palestinian' It was a term came up with around 1963 by radical Arabs to solidify hatred against the Israeli people.

Before 135 AD, the region was known as Judea. After the failed rebellion of the Jews in 135 AD, Roman Emperor Hadrian renamed the region 'Palestia', after the Jews chief nemesis, the Philistines, to rub it in the face of the Jews and try to erase the identity of the Jewish people.

Now to answer the question:

No.

The Jewish people have been in that region for over 4,000 years.

What I find fascinating is that this little sliver of land has been fought over for thousands of years.
Untold thousands have died in and over this one little small area.

I digress though. Jewish people began purchasing large tracts of land in the late 1800s from Turkish Aristocrats. The Ottoman Empire was in quick decline and the wealthy Ottoman land owners saw the writing on the wall and 'cashed out.'

There WAS no such thing. There is now. Everyone, including you, knows just what is meant by Palestinian. Is there another word that would mean the same thing and that we should be using instead?

At one time there was no such thing as an American, as a Nigerian, as a Californian or as a Palestinian. And yet there are those things now.
