Nothing is funny about Alzheimer's. Go through it with a loved one and you will agree.
As shocking and cruel as this may sound, something is funny about everything. Everything.
Humor is the psyche's way of dealing with tragedy. It's healthy and has worked for thousands of years.
Safe spaces and trigger warnings have ruined this world.
"Laugh to keep from crying" is a saying for a reason.
ANd yes, Alzheimer's is terrible. My dad is on the edge of it and it SUCKS.
But still, you have to laugh at things.

Sorry to hear you are having to deal with this terrible thing with your dad.
I dealt with it with and an uncle, two aunts and my mother. The sadest of it all was my mom had seen what this did to her brother and two sisters and when she started showing syptoms she knew what was coming. The great person and mother that she was, she called an all hands on deck meeting with the family and laid out her plan. Was still a total heartbreak to she her go through the effects of what comes with Alzheimer's. Damn I miss her.

Sorry you’re going through this
My mom gave my Grandma some water
As soon as she did she spit it all over my mom
My Grandpa asked her why she would do something like that
She replied she didn’t want any water from a street walking floozy
Those moments where you can laugh for a moment are a lifeline when you’re caring for someone who doesn’t know who you are
