I haven’t had any trouble with pins on bolt action rifles. But I have had issues with pins on ARs. My point was I just didn’t want to F**k with and I’m not concerned about a factory gunsmith messing something up.

Id be more worried about the handlers of the package and slightly less about the near-minimum wage employee that will be swapping your stock out. It won’t be a gunsmith, though.
